It should work fine. You might have to lower the buffer weight a little.
ETA: Hotdog might be right. Depends if the extractor catches the rim or not. |

Since both would headspace on the mouth the shorter .40 wouldn't work in a 10mm AR style semi auto.

I don’t think shooting 40 in any 10mm is a good idea.
Certainly can be done but not a good idea |
