I came across a few fk marked A2 uppers from a guy who bought them at a govt auction 30 years ago. They have the fat FK mark with a small tapped hole on the front side of the carry handle. Additionally they are m16 sear cut plus a milled cut on one side of the upper. He had no idea what they were for and it appears TC it came from the manufacturer that way. Any ideas. Also looked like they were just mocked up and not seen any combat/range use. Don't know how to post pictures on this sight.

Bushmaster use to sell the FK uppers. It stands for Forged Kaiser Aluminum. No idea what the taped hole would be for.

I have on just like that. I have no idea what the tapped hole was for. I did put a small set screw in the hole to fill it. The threaded hole was tapped 4-40 threads per inch.
