I found a single point sling allows my carbine to swing too wildly during transitions so I came up with this.  It is a modified $25 Eagle sling.  I call it the, "tactical 2-point"

Evenly spaced hinges, two clasps, one side handle and no room for a second rifle, my bet is the 1700.

Great job on cut-outs JTrusty!

I'd suggest you ditch the nylon hook snap thingy I tried a set up like that for awhile but the the snap had alot of ware on it from the steel plate, enough I was worried about it failing.

I like both of these styles of snap-hooks, I’ve built a few slings and have never had one fail as of yet. This metal type seems to be the most popular style.

ive been thinking about doing a similiar sling at the same attaching locations. Is yours a two point or 3 point? How/Where does the firearm hang?

If you do get around to taking some new pics, would you be able to show how it hangs while youre wearing it?

Thanks!

I did build the sling, I just ran a 1" strap though the sling location on the A2 and made it as tight as I could going over the top of the buttstock, then just make the upper carry sling from 1” or 1 ½ “ and cut it to your desired length. I have made a few slings including the popular 3-points and a few single-point slings as well. Just go to the local fabric shop and buy up a few pieces and build one they’re easy and allot cheaper then adding the word tactical to it and paying $30 dollars vs. under $10 dollars of material, and having the satisfaction of making it yourself.

Doesn't seem to be a very popular one, but I got it at the PX for authenticiy, and easy access, I hate ordering things online, do it when I need to, but prefer store bought purchases... I guess I'm a twenty one year old geezer

SPEC OPS brand Mamba 3 point sling, with power strike action!

sorry for the crappy pics, I'm working on it.  Slowly...

No!  3 point slings aren't too complicated at all!  Of course, the fact that it's also attached to a SPEC OPS (also purchased at the PX!) M4 spare magazine pouch might make it a little worse, hasn't been a problem yet, though, everything retains well when I wear it... and walk it back and forth on the range.  Never gotten out of a HMMV with one, though, maybe someday...

Here is a picture of the rifle with the 1 point sling I've also got for it.  Rifle configuration is different now, but I can still switch between slings fairly easily, just remove the 3 point, and snap on the 1 point if it's ever necessary,

The main reason I decided to get the three point, though, is just some experience and to try it, now that I have the single point, all the USGI ones I've used had the black nylon two points, and to be honest, I'm loving the three point, hangs well, just like the two point, but with a lot more positive control, should be good for patrolling.

My version of a Vickers type two-point sling.  I took my CQB Solutions 3-point and made a few mods.  Added an ALOSTYR sling mount on the rail and here you go.  Certainly not a quick-adjustment like the Vickers but it can be adjusted to do many different things.
