Yes, baffle strike on the brake.
Could have been ammo, or could be enough fouling build up on the barrel crown/in the initial thread baffle of the brake that caused the problem isntead.
Hence a lot of the brake manufacturers state to use some some of locker agents of the Brake threads to hold it tight with a can in play, but at some point, you do need to remove the brake to clean up the accumulate fouling on the crown and inside the brake too.
So don't have a problem myself using rockset since I know how to get a brake back off every 1K rounds to clean the accumulate fouling, as well as clean up any problems on the brake before it installed. But for some, don't have this talent to pull the brake without a lot of damage/know what to check before the brake is installed, and hence where we can end up with problems like Baffle strikes instead.
As for ammo, 55gr in a short 1/7 barrel can cause problem, as well getting your hand on ammo that the bullet is 223" (not 224"), or the copper fouling in the barrel allowed to build up to the point that is not engaging the bullet correctly to start with.
