I think there is a law that says you have to build something if you find a part. 9 inch .22lr barrel, bolt and charging handle magically showed up. I must be living right. Is there a plug that will fit in the FA hole?

Kind of in the same vein, I've used a forward assist with the pawl removed as a quick, improvised plug. Still use the spring so it's not flopping around. It plugs to hole and looks the best IMHO.
