I have a AR-10 that I built with a Bear Creek Armory upper. I tried 3 brands of factory ammo and I’m piercing primers and occasionally the caster gets stuck so bad I have to tap it out with a squib rod. I tried polishing off .003 off the pin and it’s still doing it. I sure could use some ideas.

Send it back.  I would never have bought it, because of who made it, but they seem to be pretty willing to work to fix their shit that doesn't run.

I was afraid of that. Somebody at the range made a face when I told them my problems and I told them the brand.

Caliber?
308 = normal bolt and firing pin.
6.5cm = high pressure bolt and firing pin.

It makes a difference. 308 bolt shooting 6.5cm will pierce primers. Not all guns, seems to be chamber specific for whatever reason.

It’s a .308 with a standard bolt.

Typically it is a chamber or freebore issue.

Sorry to hear about your woes.

Please let us know if Bear Creek fixes it.

Can you post some pics of the fired cases ?  Primers and the body of the case.
