EXAMPLE: bickering about eye pro or what style a shooter selects for eye pro, not necessary. If they are protecting his eyes, that should be all that matters, not what they make him look like when he is wearing them. Lets knock it off. |

To the young gent with the white glasses, nice sticks! As an older guy with eye problems, the fact that you care enough about your shooting longevity to wear decent protection speaks volumes, and your rifle choices are spot on. My son thinks you look cool. That inspires the youngsters to follow suit.

I've always liked it I've been wearing it for over 4 years now. The pouches are a little dated and need to be replaced soon. The elastic is stretched out and there are literally holes in it. not bad for two combat deployments one MEU and several classes. I originally got it to be able to cary more mags I carried 13 while in Iraq. I may be switching to the ITW fastmags soon they look pretty promising. It's not for everyone though some will bitch and complain that it moves around and it does. To me though it's been worth it a couple of times. |

My stance was the bastard child of combat kneel and a barricade kneel. I have some Vtac barricades assembled, but I haven't been able to get them to the range yet.  I was shooting at a 12 inch gong at 200 yards so I was trying to get as stable as possible.

I was shooting at a 12 inch gong at 200 yards so I was trying to get as stable as possible.You're doing it with great resilience, using the barracade as cover & to steady your shot at the same time, thumbs up. During train up before we left, I found the 553 to be more useful than the issued Newer Aimpoint models. But once I was issued the ACOG and with some smartly placed tape along the fibers, I had a more defined chevron that smacked everything I aimed at, even the stress fires we did, and the CQB runs with the retired SF guys in Kuwait. You neded more light, peel back the tape just so much as needed. The big problem I was preaching and correcting upon my soldiers was to get their issued weapon as well balanced as they could get it. I wanted instant killers, not supressors. Keep on rockin', my friend. |

first of all, i was alone so i couldn't get photos of the AR in action but here goes ...
i was bored so i went outside in 18*F degree and buried my 6920 in the snow (no, i did not put snow in the BCG or FCG) ... fired 30rnds of LC XM193 (6920 still covered in ice/snow), zero malfunction, 0/30rnds hit target ... cause i wasn't aiming at anything  (well, maybe the ground)
 lots of ♥s for my COLT 6920
