Unless that was in the scenario, just asking cuz I'm interested. we were running a number of different drills with different goals, trying things out and working out an SOP. Short rifles are imperative to vehicle work. Running different weapons leads to mixed responses - watch me fumble for the safety on the ak. Lessons learned. GET OUT OF THE DAMNED CAR leftys ride shotgun sbr for inside - pistols work ok for the driver, but dont have the capacity that we would like you go through rounds fast. In all our drills, a reload would have happened. Carry extra mags - one at least get reactive targets - we are looking at a baloon system so we can tell when we get solid hits shirts are cool to shoot and you can see if you are on target at this close, you can move pretty quick with a rifle and not loose accuracy communicate and have a set method for describing what you need, and keep it redundant with other drills, you cant communicate enough. If you are not shooting, move. Try not to reload in the static position. Film it for the After Action Reports - we had a pretty good day, and learned alot. Our round count was under 200 rifle rounds and under 100 pistol. We got lots of footage to study from different ambush positions as well... Just to show a good example of the number of different rifles, and set ups - Not an AR  |

I took a couple of photos of me and my dad and his brother shooting at the Buffalo River at some property my Family owns. We were on a ridge looking down a 20ft or so drop into a gulley. We fired about 500 rounds through it with no problems what so ever.
here is one i took of my dad shooting my AR.

 Practical Rifle Match Started most stages with 4 to 6 rounds in the first mag to make a forced reload. I had some short strokes. A single shot AR is no fun. Got it lubed up and it ran fine the rest of the day. 2009 shooting highlights for me.  |

Yep.....they were ACR's formerly known as the Magpul Masada.They were actually early built guns. #32 and #51. Two of the many that were sent to Aberdeen for testing. They supposedly had 40k+ rounds through them. There were actually 4 there for the competition but two broke. And I don't know what broke on them.
They were fun to shoot. Very soft and controllable on FA. |

You can always pick up a 10.5" later if you want...preferably after you get a suppressor.  Nice Gascans BTW. I've got a pair just like that. |

The FS is actually pinned. It is a standard A2 with an extra washer behind it to reach 16" total. Most people don't even notice the washer but I did it to achieve the classic 14.5" look you speak of.
Gascans are good glasses. Polarized black iridium lenses are awesome in the sun, especially when its reflecting off the snow.
