I thought people might be interested in what kind of velocity they could expect from one of these bargain uppers.  The upper used was a stainless barreled 12” PSA 6.5 grendel upper and all shots were measured suppressed.

I got this done on 2 separate days, so I’ll list it that way since the weather varied a bit between the 2

Day 1 Environmental info:

72* F, 74% humidity, 1211’ elevation

Day 1 velocities (5 shot avg):

Wolf 100gr - 2309 FPS

Federal Fusion 120gr - 2305 FPS

Hornady SST 123gr - 2279 FPS

Federal Speer TNT 90gr - 2687 FPS

Day 2 Environmental info:

78* F, 56% humidity, 1211’ elevation

Day 2 velocities (5 shot avg):

Federal Gold Medal Berger 130gr - 2145 FPS

Alexander Arms Lapua Scenar 123gr - 2322 FPS

Those are right in line with what I'm getting from my 12" Faxon Group Buy barrel.

90gr TNT: 2683fps avg

120gr Federal Match OTM: 2384fps

how are your groups? I have the nitrided one coming soon.

I was just shooting @ a 6”x6” steel plate ~150 yds with a 1-4x scope, so no worthwhile data for group sizes.  I have loaded up some 107 smk’s and 123 eld’s — I’ll chrono them and shoot for groups with a scope borrowed off one of my other rifles when I get a chance.

Í was actually going to buy one of these kits this weekend, since they are so rediculously cheap.I called the techs at PSA to ask them how they functioned with wolf steel  case, and to make sure they are saami chambered, not lbc.In our conversation, accuracy came up, and i asked what i should expect.I was pretty disappointed when he said, they only warranty  claim them, if they dont shoot better then 3 MOA. I guess i am not willing to take a chance one anymore.I am almost set to pull the trigger on a 12"Odin.

I can’t find that 90g Speer tnt anywhere around here.   I’m curious what it does in gel.

I am very interested to see what other guys are getting accuracy wise before I buy.

Iirc there was one member who posted up groups a few weeks back of his 12" PSA VS his 18" PSA.  Same ammo, same shooter, (not sure of exact optic honestly) but he posted he was seeing a considerable difference at 100yards in group size between the two.

Granted it was a sample size of one, but it was enough for me to tap the brakes till I see more reviews.
