In the old-style, big hole Colt Sporter AR-15,  was the front pivot pin (.315 inch) that joins the upper and lower receivers the only one with the big hole and but the second hole in the receiver for a standard size pin.? In other words, was there only one big hole in those old style Colts?

The rear takedown pin was standard sized on all models since 1963.

Yes.
The other non standard holes were the FCG ones till 2009.
