Official Mk12 Mod0, Mod1, ModH Photo and Discussion Thread (Page 860 of 1226)

Sold my Mod 0, desperately wanting a mod 1. Should I wait for one to pop up here? Build one? Every time I start a build project I gather parts and when I am 3/4 through a complete build comes along for less than I am already into it. What is that about?
If anyone has a lead on a mod 1 let me know. Thanks! Pic thread:

Barrel you just have to decide whose Douglas you want, Operationsparts is now doing the AEM brake with long collar, and the BUIS are just money, not too hard to find. |

KAC rails have been popping back up at retail ($350) and occasionally in stock. I'd personally start hunting for a Colt AF forged upper, since that's one of the harder to find items for a super correct build. Get hunting for #22 High rings as well, unless you'd like to clone one of the in the wild type setups. If you can get an AF forged upper, FF RAS, and some #22 H rings, it's downhill from there. They looked pretty convincing, even had some weight to them, but after playing with them, I decided there was too much play in the sight in the opened or closed position. The other thing, which was a dead give away took no longer than 2 seconds to see. Spot it yet? There's no gas port for the gas to escape the barrel and into the "gas block". There was a hole for the gas tube, and even a hole for the gas tube roll pin. For $35, I should have know, lol! Dan |

For those that made Mk-12 manuals from the digital copy, did you go to Staple etc to have it printed off?
Can I just bring in a USB drive and have them do it? will they bind the pages as well? for the small manual how small should the pages be? Thanks |
