I grabbed a Magpul fixed carbine stock from DSG and a handful of mags from LANworld (still waiting on those). Still trying to find a way to afford a suppressor from Gamaliel.

This thread has inspired a build that ultimately may not meet the criteria, but is in the spirit of mini-RECCE. Was gonna go with a 12.5" barrel but decided finally on 11.5". Now have to choose which barrel to buy. Plan to put a nice 1-6x scope or TA33 on there. Have a Aimpoint R1 in LT mount to act as placeholder. This will be my jack-of-all trades and primary long gun.  |

All I need is my Vortex to come in on Monday... ARFCOM 14.75" barrel, YHM FF quad, Harris bipod on ARMS mount, BTE 3.5# single stage match trigger, and I just traded out the grip and stock to MOE+ and CTR, both in black. It is much lighter than I thought it would have been, I thought the rail would have been heavier. I do like having the Haley WML. That standard A2 takes the length out to 16 1/8" so just over legal.

This thread pushed me over the edge! It used to wear an EXPS but now I have a Vortex PST 1-4 MRAD in a SPR-S mount on the way.
Place holder until it arrives Wednesday. Debating on removing the VFG. It probably wont wear the bipod all the time though so will probably leave it.

GGG bipod regarding the optics criteria, since variable was the answer, i would defend the ACOG/RMR as a form of variable, for obvious reasons. if one used the Elcan 1-4x that is either 1 or 4 and nothing in between, would that count? besides, who really uses their variable 1-4 or 6x at anything other than 1 or max? i never did when i had the TR24. |
Mount came in way faster than I expected. Still waiting on optic to arrive.
Gonna leave the FVG on for sure.I can still get a good grip on it with the bi pod attached. Since its a Larue mount I'll just pop it on and off as need be. Can't wait for the optic to arrive and stretch out some subs! EDIT: Oh and I guess this technically qualifies too
Is it bad that the only AR's I own are both mini recce?
