So that if it falls off, you don't lose it. Dont wanna lose that laser for sure. Losing certain equipment in the military leads to different levels of heat being brought. |

This is easily the highest quality mount I've ever owned and it's very lightweight! The cross bolt lugs are massive, so they were able to increase the torque value to 100 inch pounds. At this point the mount might as well be welded to the upper, it isn't going anywhere! I still need to mount a scope and get it to the range, but it's -13 degrees here right now, so that will have to wait. https://i.imgur.com/to20OhN.jpg https://i.imgur.com/41kdtrq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BXdyCeo.jpg The S-VPS scopes have a witness mark on the side of the tube, which will line up with a mark on the mount. Mounting the scope is going to be a breeze, no more plum bobs and levels! https://i.imgur.com/HXNSfOV.jpg View Quote Neat! |

View Quote I haven’t looked through the NX8, I wish I could, but I do really like my Razor. Only draw back is the weight, but it balances well on my URG-I with a G 2.04 mount. Would still love to handle an NX8, though. |

The razor beats it everywhere else, even glass quality in my opinion I just got an Nx8, I haven’t had the chance to do any shooting with it yet. I also have a Razor II, it’s not an e model so it’s 25oz. The size and weight difference is obviously considerable. Given that I like the Nx8 better. It does have a tighter eyebox, but so far it doesn’t seem like a huge issue. I think the glass quality is comparable. The included throw lever with the nx8 is also very nice, and the adjustment ring is not as difficult to move. It is a lot easier to flip from 1x to 8x quickly. Take all this with a grain of salt since I haven’t done any shooting with it yet. My question for those that have, when shooting at 1x at close distance and both eyes open, do you need to be in the eyebox to make hits? Or can you be slightly off like with an RDS? |

View Quote If you close, as long as you can see the reticle and put it in the t box, you should be fine. Obviously this is distance dependent and dependent on the size of the target you are trying to hit, but cqb distances, sure. |

Unfortunately this often meant they tied the cord around the tops of handguards through vent holes and sometimes even touching the gas tube, barrel, or fsb. We'd get guns in the shop for maintenance and have melted 550 cord all over the parts of the gun that got the hottest during shooting and often what 550 cord that was left was hanging on by a single melty thread. After removing the melted crap and cleaning up the gun as best as i could, i'd give the soldier the option of using lock wire (like in the pic) to dummy cord the equipment to the gun for them so they didn't have to use 550 cord again. Most said yes. They thought it looked cool. |

Somebody mentioned NSN numbers on the charging handles.
I have a few no logo Airborne charging handles, but didn't see any NSN numbers on the body or stem of the charging handles. After I Googled them, I found they are on the back of the T-handle and I hadn't looked there before, but there they are. |

Earlier versions had no NSN. All of them legit. All have been issued. There are various markings on these and the rails just depending on when they were produced. |
