Hello,
I’m trying decide if there’s any appreciable difference between Norma and GGG in 308 for the 147 grain ball rounds and wondered if anyone has any feedback on the two. I probably won’t reload but will save the brass just in case. Any feedback would be appreciated

Both are good but I would consider the Norma a bit above the GGG.

I have never used GGG, but Norma is usually good quality and the brass is great for reloading.

Thanks for the replies Killer and Bravo, they’re appreciated. Looks like it's german made ruag for the Norma vs Lithuanian for the GGG and for the same price I went with the Norma. Good feedback and thanks again

Whichever is cheaper, some ball is better than others but at the end of the day it’s still ball.

Please let us know how well the Norma feeds... the bullet profile is short.
And older GGG ball ( 2013 ) was darned near match quality. 168gr FGMM barely beat it , group wise. And Swiss Saltech is darned accurate for ball ammo as well. |

Thanks for the replies Ghostface and bfoosh6. I’ve read some positive reports on the older GGG stuff, not so good reports on the 2016-17 stuff I think, and nothing yet on the newer stuff that’s in stock. I’ll have to check out the Swiss saltech ammo, sounds interesting, thanks.

The only ggg ammo that I’ve tried was 5.56… zero issue and will buy more.
Mine was recent production.. 2019-2020 |
