Looks like they just substituted Magpul handguards in place of the A2 type. Didn't see this on their website, so it must be a future offering (this was in a promo E-mail):

Weird. Are they short on rifle length handguards or something?
If they’re going to Magpul the handguard, might as well do the grip and stock too. A MOE grip and fixed rifle stock would match better. Maybe swap the carry handle for a BUIS. |

I prefer the original A2 stock or Knights Armament rails.
20" AR-15's don't get nearly the love they deserve. |

Not a fan of magpul MOE handguards on a 20".

Maybe Windham could embellish things a little to bump up sales. "Windham Weaponry presents the rarely seen M16A4 "Alt 1" configuration. Purchased and use in small numbers by Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Luxembourg, and the Manitoba People's Liberation Party".

Looks weird honestly.
Either do all Magpul furniture or all A2 furniture. They should be focused on making 20" barrels! Waiting on the 1/7"!!! |

Gross. Those Magpul handguards were dated and ugly within like 6 months of their release....a decade ago.

I tried the same setup with a magpul moe grip, trigger guard, and with/without carry handle or scope. Tried it and went NOPE! Then switched back to standard rifle length handguards (also from WW and they are very cool).
I agree with Aggie_Gunner that Windham barrels are the tits. I have 20" and a 16". |
