I have always used Colt AR15 A2 20" barrels but can't seem to find any in stock that are complete with front sight pinned on. What good companies make a 20" govt pro barrel? I don't want anything like del-ton or model 1, thank you.

Windham Weaponry is showing barrels in stock. This does not have a flash hider or delta ring or you can get the kit that has everything ready to install in your upper.

What's wrong with Del-ton? I'm not trying to be smart, just curious. I have had a great experience with them.

I’m a gun snob, I only buy expensive things like ACOG aimpoint or Colt, any time I switched from Colt ARs or Colt 1911s I had serious problems, lemons. I bought a CMMG M4 barrel and it was toast after 4,000 rounds, my Colt 20” A2 barrel was fine at 10,000 rounds. My friend always buy cheap red dots that break or cheap barrels and always have problems. If it works don’t fix it my Grandpa used to say. Plus Colt, FN barrel and parts better resale value because they are military contractors.

Can you get a 20" Government barrel that is chrome lined from DelTon now ?  I do have a couple of DelTon  barrels and they work just fine but the last time I looked they had no 20" Government barrels that were chrome lined.  Only the heavy 20" barrel was chrome lined.  I know many folks prefer the Nitride finish and claim it works just as well but I'm a bit of a traditionalist.

AR15 Sport carries awesome Green Mountain barrels with both "F" and non-"F" front sight bases for $239. I've used them on my A2 and A4 clones. It looks like they are currently out of stock, though.

According to Green Mountain:
AR-15 / M16 A1 & A2/ M4 Rifle Barrels: Fully machined and assembled with extension, made from high grade 41V50 milspec vanadium/molybdenum alloy steel, button rifled, thermo-stress relieved, parkerized finish, threaded muzzle, chromed bore and chamber for optimum performance and durability.

I’ve had a Windham barrel for years on my A4 clone.

Solid barrel, and I haven’t been nice to it at times lol.

My WW a2 govt. profile is very accurate even with federal m193.  I stay hitting steel at 300 and 500 with irons

I have a WW on my A2 and a Del-Ton on my A1/A4/M4's and while the Del-Tons are good the WW is better. All guns shoot within Military MOA (2 to 4 inches at 100) all my Del-Tons I've had to shift the windage further to the left or right for POI than the WW which was almost neutral in its windage. I don't think you could go wrong with a WW barrel IMHO

DS Arms has a great deal on 20” govt barrels.

The DS Arms barrels have M4 ramped extensions and "F" marked sight bases.  So, they're accually late M16A4 barrels.  Really good price though for chrome lined!
