It does. There is a generic wrench that will work but I'm drawing a blank. I believe krdt uses it.

You'll need one of the DD wrenches if not that

They're  $10+shipping from Brownells. Here.

Or shoot me your shipping address @UndrGrndPrdcts , I've got an extra sitting on a work bench.

Got impatient so I ground a few thousands off each tooth on the inside spanner of the magpul wrench and it fits perfect. Now I have two spanner sizes. Thanks though dudes.

ETA: lol you guys answered so fast i swear we all have notifications sent to our phone when mk18 thread is updated.

Been years since i got into the clone game and I always avoided this thread cause I was to afraid to make the leap into the NFA world. I finally made the jump and have something to post in here. My MARSOC CQBR.

Next major move is to get an NT4 and then eventually a peq16.

It's ratty, but once stripped and repainted GREEN with the rest of my build it'll be alright. I was conflicted on whether to paint my mod-0, but I think this has given me the motivation to do so!

So funny story. I'm disassembling my Socom upper to swap the receivers and I get to the barrel nut. Stick the wrench on and it just rotates . I don't even think I'd call it finger tight. I'm glad I decided to separate it.

It's $11 from Brownells, minus any discounts (much thicker than they used to be as well - the previous version DD wrenches were trash and practically single-use disposable). You can get by with a spanner style castle nut wrench, but that's not a feature the Magpul wrench has.

ETA: Oops, I kinda hadn't checked the thread in a day and didn't see "next page" lol.

So did it work out, did you receive the Eotech?  I researched L&L a while back when they had something I was looking for - lot's of complaints online from various places like yelp and reddit, etc so I decided to pass.  Not saying they are Botach (or AU for that matter, which is just as bad imo), and appears others have ordered from them successfully, but their online rep is not so great.

When facing a new/unheard online seller (and let's face it, there seems to be so many of them these days for gun parts/accessories/etc), I always google the site name and "complaints" which is a nice catch-all for finding info on the store/site.  Also reseller ratings is a good one to check.

Not sure if anyone answered?  IMO that's optimistic for a standard tan G33 - TBH one can find them new cheaper than that pretty easily.  I've sold a few and usually get between $400-425 at most.

I've been happy with mine - although I rarely shoot it past 200m.  Since I have astigmatism the more common option of Eotech and Magnifier just doesn't work well for me.  I've tried the combo a few times (becuase, I am stubborn lol), and the G33 has a diopter ring so I can dial out most (but not all) of the blurriness caused my my astigmatism, but as soon as I flip it over I get the typical ROF that those of us with astigmatism suffer with on the Holograhic sites.

Enter the Elcan - spendy for sure, and heavy.  But IIRC it's a tad lighter than the EXPS/G33 combo.  Excellent Glass, True 1x and very usable 4x.  I really like mine, I bought one, ran it for a while, stupidly though I should go back to the EoTech combo, that lasted about a month and I was searching for a Elcan again.

But I guess I really didn't answer your question re the BDC and longer ranges, but it was common optic on MK18 so I suspect it must have worked well enough, at least at typical engagement distances for the MK18.

Thanks yeah I’m getting my shit together for this and I already got an elcan on my scar so I’m gonna swap that over and throw some sort of LPVO on the scar since it’s a 14.5 rifle

Selling Expanse Lowers as 6920's was my main issue.  Also selling non C-marked/stamped BCG's as Colt, could have been legit but still sketchy.  Also the whole Colt Ambi Selector hulabalo.

Unfortunately they are a Colt part go to shop, but they are absolutely my last choice.

I think you're pretty much guaranteed the thicker version. Brownells created a new product page and marked the old wrench discontinued, which I am 99% sure corresponded with the change.

I ordered one maybe 2-3 months back and I got the thicker version.

Anyone got a weight on the androcorp 10.3 crane barrel? They might have the worst response time I've encountered. Need a barrel swap and I'm trying to choose between this and a cut down SOCOM. Leaning socom just because it's disheartening that a company can't reply to an email or voicemail after two weeks.

I seem to recall the weight difference between my old Noveske N4 10.5" (similar, but the SOCOM is a touch heavier profile I think) and the Andro 10.3" was about 4oz or so.

The Andro 10.3" is a nice barrel for the price. On the other hand, if you didn't know AU still has Colt factory 10.3s in stock.

I don't think I ever rode in a bird that didn't leak. I was getting dripped on by very hot oil while en route to a mission one day. I was non-plussed.

That kinda looks like Flannel Daddy (Garand Thumb) dressed up as him lol.

M4 rifles are sexy. MK 18 is even sexier. Was thinking about finally building one of my own clone correct uppers when I get home from this trip. Already have the surefire suppressor and an sbr’d lower. Just need the proper upper. Anyway, here is a potato pic of my issue rifle for you guys. I need to get a new pressure switch on that flashlight. Usually I use a SOPMOD stock but I’m not as picky as I used to be. The Elcan Spectre stays on the m4 upper. That thing is an overweight bitch anyway. I keep the can on if I’m just doing shooting demo’s on the range when training or on missions but it comes off for serious range work. I just realized I’m so lazy that I don’t even rattlecan my rifles anymore. Oh, well. War’s over anyway.

Clone -inspired- Upper completed, on a doner lower until my form 1 returns...Will be on a PSA M4A1 lower.

Went with the EXPS 2-0 instead for two reasons...1, I got a good deal on it, and 2, I will never use or own NV....

Will be changing CH out eventually as well, but being a lefty sometimes function over "correctness" rules the day.

Correction, 400m is solid, need to hold between 500 and 600 for 500m hits.
