So funny story. I'm disassembling my Socom upper to swap the receivers and I get to the barrel nut. Stick the wrench on and it just rotates . I don't even think I'd call it finger tight. I'm glad I decided to separate it.

I really like mine, I bought one, ran it for a while, stupidly though I should go back to the EoTech combo, that lasted about a month and I was searching for a Elcan again. But I guess I really didn't answer your question re the BDC and longer ranges, but it was common optic on MK18 so I suspect it must have worked well enough, at least at typical engagement distances for the MK18. |

Anyone got a weight on the androcorp 10.3 crane barrel? They might have the worst response time I've encountered. Need a barrel swap and I'm trying to choose between this and a cut down SOCOM. Leaning socom just because it's disheartening that a company can't reply to an email or voicemail after two weeks.

M4 rifles are sexy. MK 18 is even sexier. Was thinking about finally building one of my own clone correct uppers when I get home from this trip. Already have the surefire suppressor and an sbr’d lower. Just need the proper upper. Anyway, here is a potato pic of my issue rifle for you guys. I need to get a new pressure switch on that flashlight. Usually I use a SOPMOD stock but I’m not as picky as I used to be. The Elcan Spectre stays on the m4 upper. That thing is an overweight bitch anyway. I keep the can on if I’m just doing shooting demo’s on the range when training or on missions but it comes off for serious range work. I just realized I’m so lazy that I don’t even rattlecan my rifles anymore. Oh, well. War’s over anyway.
