I purchased one of the new WWSD2020 lowers. K.E. Arms greatly improved it over the Calvary Arms predecessor. It’s more refined, it has a flared mag well, the pistol grip is more comfortable, the takedown pins lock in more positively. The one I purchased was a “blem”, it has two SMALL scratches.
The weight is 1 pound 2.6 ounces Be sure and order it with the K.E. extended hammer pin and the K.E. Modified safety. Very pleased with it

Looking forward to seeing your build. The whole polymer LtWt lower thing has always intrigued me. Enough so that in my youth I bought a Bushmaster Carbon 15 ( 97S )... very LtWt... and handy... but after seeing some broken stocks, barrel nut areas broken.. etc I re-assigned mine to a dedicated 22LR. I cracked two of the pistols taking a buffer tube to the face. Had them send me a normal m4 type gun and never looked back. Never heard about similar problems with the Cav Arms stuff. These lowers are definitely pretty cool. |

I wanted a 308 pencil Faxon barrel. One year shipping date estimated, from Optics Planet.
Just found a Big Gunner profile Faxon barrel IN STOCK(!) at Brownells. It’s a little heavier, should be a little more accurate. Worth it not to wait a year, I thought. I also got one of the blem polymer KE stocks from Brownells. Gotta figure how to put a fin grip on it though, here in the people’s republic of CA. |

I'm tempted to pick one up. I have 3 unused Sabre Defense branded Cavarms lowers in the safe from when Trinity liquidated their supply.
Between the blem and sale prices, it's hard to resist. |
