Has anyone tried using mineral oil as cutting fluid? I was hoping to avoid all the chemicals with WD-40.

This is for the 5D Tactical jig with an aluminum and polymer lower.

Why buy an 80% and tell everyone?

Use Forney Tap Magic, not WD40.

I did not use anything but my mill will not go over 2500 rpms. On steel I use WD40 in a squirt bottle as needed. I get it by the gallon on Amazon.

I'd probably cut the MO w/ some IPA (isopropyl alcohol).

But, why?
If you're buying something for the purpose, why not buy the appropriate product?

I have it lol. I also have https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00065UD56 and a mist setup. I prefer the WD

Relton A9 is the absolute best fluid to cut aluminum lowers. It’s not terrible for you and does have an anti-mist component.

I’ve been through WD-40, Tap Magic, and many others. Nothing comes close and end-mills seem to last longer as well.

Relton 9 is great for aluminum, I can attest to that. But which cutting fluids are polymer safe?
