I was told specifically in my load out thread that .308 is too heavy and I should only have 5.56 guns.

Is .308 ok for this thread though?

Mystery Solved

I have one of those gas block folding front sights for that MK11, I’ve had it for years and never knew
what it was for.  I take it’s made by Knights but the one I have is unmarked I believe.

The trade-in EMCs are some of the most badass rifles KAC ever released to us peasants and my favorite rifle from them

Well now you know! That's like a $300-$400 front sight in today's market; could be more!

Wanted to paint it as-issued then, later on, add the MRE to add to the thrown-together look.

I've also got a painted Vero FF RAS for it that would be fun to toss on if I ever find a barrel nut wrench.

I think D Wilson makes one but it's never in stock. Probably a very niche tool these days.

What optics are best suited for/are typically seen on the 16" guns? Pics of course would be helpful.

I just ordered an NX8 2.5-20X50 F2 .1 MRAD MIL-CF2 scope for my EMC.  Seems relatively compact with good magnification.

Depends on your purpose.  I put the 4-16 ATACR on mine.

Those two are the top two I was considering, F1 though. I see  some setups with lpvo's, but I feel like you aren't getting the full capability out of it.
