Midwest Industries SLH (Slim Line Handguard)
With the new series of handguards we are bringing to market the SLH is our budget friendly line. There are no corners being cut on these. Like everything we make these are still being made right here in the USA and are covered by our lifetime warranty. These handguards are still rigorously tested to perform through all the conditions we put them through. Our team worked hard to find a way to keep as many features as we could and still bring out a handguard that we could price for beginners on a budget, or anyone who does not need all of the "rail estate" the combat line provides. These new handguards use our patented 4140 heat treated torque plate and barrel nut and are made of 6061 aluminum with a type 3 hard coat anodized finish. This handguard has a MIL-Standard 1913 Picatinny top rail, two anti-rotation QD sling sockets, and three sides of M-LOK slots. With the new installation hardware these handguards are one of the easiest to install and will not pull off or rotate even under extreme conditions. These handguards install without requiring the heating of any parts, timing of the barrel nut, shims or special fasteners, and without the use of any Loctite or other adhesives. This new handguard will be available in five popular lengths, all with an inside diameter of 1.3” and an outside diameter of 1.5”. Actual lengths and weights are listed below. All weights include the steel barrel nut and all hardware. One five slot polymer M-LOK rail section is included with each handguard.

The 14" MI-SLH14 weighs 11 oz 
The 12.625" MI-SLH12.625 weighs 10.3 oz 
The 10.5" MI-SLH10.5 weighs 9 oz

Are the QD sockets anti-rotational, or full rotation design?
Thats my hang up on rails with those built/machined in..... I don't like sling wrap-up. ETA: These do look great! They remind me of the Centurion M-lok rails. |

Very nice-looking handguards. Is this an exclusive item only sold directly from MI? I don't see them offered outside the MI website.
