As I understand it;
1) The initial 1.93” was determined to be the optimal height to get a S&B Short Dot over a PEQ. 2) But then someone came up with the idea of 2.04" to accommodate clip-on night vision while using a LPVO. NV sits at normal 1.54", so adding a common 0.5" riser gets you up to 2.04". |
