So I am into the HK sling loops. Going to stick with it for now. I have a bunch of ASAP plates. Really like them, but man, do they make A LOT of noise!

I am looking going with something like this.

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I looked at the CQD one and it is not quite what I am looking for.

Specifically, I want to have the feature as the ASAP or the one pictured above, as to be able to have the sling slide back and forth from left side to right side.

Just cut the chainlink off and use the ASAP without it instead of spending money on replacements?
If you want a replacement for the chain link, use 550 cord or braided wire?

I prefer to have QD sockets on all my weapons so I can use a QD sling (Magpul MS4 Sling). I put a Griffin Armament QD End Plate on my ARs.

Once you start using different sling attachments on your weapons you end up requiring a dedicated sling for each weapon. If you use QD sockets, you can get away with one really nice sling or multiple slings if you want.

take hockey tape or athletic tape and wrap a single layer around the link. I did this with black hockey tape when I had the ASAP end plate and it made almost all the noise disappear.

I did that with electrical tape. Did not work well. I will go get some hockey tape and try it. Thanks!

I just got my IKH SLAP Plate in the mail last night, very nice product.

The one I got was actually a lot darker than that picture. The grey shown wouldn't have bothered me, but the darker color looks really nice on the black anodized lower.
