Not too exciting, sorry if boring, but had a old cut down LR25 Magpul mag laying around, I used it to try stippling...

Cut down some wood to fit tight in the mag, used Liquid Nails to secure and then countersunk wood screws.

Dried overnight, came out great.  Just used it in a vice to install a Deadair brake and it worked perfectly

The wood expanded the mag just enough to fit very snug in the magwell making use a lot easier.  When installed the assembly is rock solid.  Better than the one I purchased for my 556 rifles.

This is actually a really cool idea, thanks for sharing. I may end up doing something similar myself for a .223
