Looks like LMT is getting with the program and selling MRP uppers with or without barrels. I think its a smart move though pricing at the moment still compels you to get a barrel.
I'm still working on a subsonic load for my 175 grains but I had a blast with my Noveske 10.5" 300FB this weekend. I nailed a 4" piece of AR500 steel at 100 yards. Its cool when the impact is so much louder than the shot itself. |

fyi... I called LMT to get some back up locking bolts for my MRP and MWS and asked about the 6.8 piston. Surprisingly, she said it was available. Only in 16" currently and a multi week delay on the barrel as they release guns an uppers in that configuration first. I asked about 12.5" and she said not yet as testing in that length had not gone well. They are super busy with 308 and have not had time to revisit. I went ahead and placed an order for a 16" piston barrel for $346 as I already have a piston carrier and piston.
Thought you guys might be interested. |

Really wish they would get with the majority of other manufacturers who make guns in 6.8. |

Fyi... Noveske 10" and 16" 300BLK barrels up on their website and shipping in 2-3 weeks in the event any of you guys want to pick one up and get it converted for MRP by DBMG.

I picked up a pile of pulled 175s and found a subsonic load with AA#9 that cycles them well. Even with my not optimal 45 pistol can it is very quiet... sound and recoils closer to a 22 than a 223. Plan to load up some pulled 147s for cheap supersonic rounds. If you plan to shoot primarily subsonic at closer ranges this steel barrel should last a long long time. |

I'll be bringing it to the range today for the first time since I installed it the other day. I don't see any ergonomic issues and my quess is it will be a rock solid performer like all the rest of my LaRue kit. |

Very cool. I'm still undecided about standard or 45 degree. I had a blast plinking with subsonic pulled 175s over 8 grains of AA#9 on Saturday. Only loaded up and ran through about 50 rounds but it is so fun shooting steel suppressed at 50 yards with this round. Used 10.5 Noveske 300FB barrel and Nexus III 45 pistol suppressor. Not the ideal can for this but still quiet... its getting more use on this than my USP 45 Tactical. They all cycled perfectly out of 2 Pmags... I was using a carbine buffer. Anyone else planning to convert a 300BLK barrel to MRP?
