My buddy just put together a 10.5" DI upper with a saber defense barrel that I shot side by side with my piston this weekend and I felt much more jolt on his rifle despite an FSC556 on his SBR (I still have the orig A2). To be fair, I was running cheap Russian ammo and he had hot M855. |

The problem with the anti-cant buffers is it makes the weapon a PITA to disassemble. Some lowers do not allow for the upper to simply continue pulling forward and off of the post. The rear lug of the MRP gets trapped in the cut out that the selector is under.
When funds allow, I plan to build up the following; 1. Magpul ACS or CTR Stock 2. PWS 7075 Anti-Cant buffer 3. Spikes Tactical ST-T2 Buffer Assembly CTR Stock: 0.55 lbs, or about .9 lbs with the PWS Tube. ACS Stock: 0.89 lbs, or about 1.25 lbs with the PWS Tube. UBR Stock: 1.63 lbs I'd be dropping a few ounces from the buffer as well since my current buffer has adjustable weights in it and I'm running at about 6.5 ounces. The ST-T2 is approximately 4.3 ounces. Now, there is a side benefit to this revision. The ST-T2 is built to reduce recoil stutter when impacting to the rear. So is the PWS buffer tube. Before someone cries to hit the gym, it isn't about dealing with recoil. It's about keeping the muzzle on target for follow up shots. Particularly through magnified optics. If you have a heavy pig of a MRP in the front, you'll probably want more weight in the ass end to balance the rifle. I'm running a minimalist setup now. So I know a ACS would work well. I'm debating on if a CTR would be even better though. |

ETA: Thats a sweet family photo... I'm missing a rifle length MRP but have two CQBs and an MWS for the 8 MRP and 2 MWS barrels. Need to update mine soon. I picked up a used spikes 22 11.5" set up recently and that has been a fun addition. |

I am nervous about using combat loads after reading all the available information. Both my barrels run fine with existing gas ports. I don't shoot the 6.8spc much and if it were'nt for the convenienc of the MRP system there is no way that I would have two dedicated carbines. I plan on getting an LMT 300 AAC blackout whenever the SBR barrels are available as I have an AAC 762 SD-N6 suppressor on order. 6.8spc rifle length MRP with USO SN-4

| Would it look shit if I bought a rifle length MRP upper and cut it to carbine length, BUT kept the left over part so I can reattach it when I want to shoot with a longer barrel? Kind of like how the 'Samson' rail is. Just wondering, still unsure about which to get. I need both eventually... |

I'm thinking about getting this and wanted to find out if anyone else has one or an opinion? Maxes out at 141. Looks like it costs about $150 for a basic without bits but is compact. I will try to justify the expense... I have an MWS (w/ 2 barrels) and 2 MRPs (w/ 8 barrels).

I will try to justify the expense... I have an MWS (w/ 2 barrels) and 2 MRPs (w/ 8 barrels). With 3 uppers and 10 barrels, it seems more than reasonable to spend $150-$250 on a compact and reliable torque wrench like that one or the Seekonk. I want one also...but just have 1 MRP with 2 barrels...I can't justify it yet!

For you guys with 14.5 inch MRP's, what weight of buffers are you running? I have a 14.5 inch MRP that I am adding a Battle Comp 1.5 and I'm wondering if I should run an H2? I have the standard weight buffer in it now that came with the LMT lower, which I think is an H?
