Going to my dealer on Monday - he has two suppressors in stock - surefire fa556 dark earth and a aac m42000 - any recommendations?

Both are good cans, but I prefer the 556k/212.  Less to no POI shift(depending on your barrel), better mounting system, and to me sounds better.

Was cleaning my block II today and noticed rust on my CQD. Should've known, maybe I'll get QD swivels later down the road.

CQD mounts rust like its cool.  Think of it as a tactical red/brown camouflage.    Also the screws that hold the RIS II together rust.

I guess it just boils down to price - the SF is $1450 and the AAC is $1050 - is the SF really worth the extra $400?

It'll match the RIS II perfectly! I also didn't know the screws rusted. Thanks for the heads up

If any one needs a tan A2 grip for their block II build let me know and I will mail you one for free (I can cover shipping). One of them has faint residue of that was removed. It could be totally removed with a little bit of brake cleaner and some elbow grease.

I have 2 that were take-offs from a SR-15. The color was called taupe and this pic shows the color that matches it.
Gone.

I need to get them out of here before they turn into more block II builds.

Damage Industries

The coyote is close to Magpul, the FDE is close to the LMT color, the SHTF brown is kinda close to the RIS II.

Coyote on the gun. SHTF brown under the rail.

Quick question, are rear CQD mounts standard on all Block II's?

I think that's considered a Block 1.5 Phased replacement but, I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I'm wrong..

I think it depends on unit, I've seen quite a few that didn't have them.

That's MSRP.  You can get them far cheaper.  I paid under 1k for my SF Mini

Definitely a treat to see a Block II in action sporting an ACOG - Hard to tell which model in the low lighting - TA01NSN?

Awesome photo.

Also, more proof that you don't need to buy $400 in BUIS to be a Block II clone - this dude clearly has none (definitely not the first we've seen).

I think that's a TA31 - I can see the "wings" that protect the fiber optics.

For some reason, I suck at telling the difference when at this angle. I try to judge by the space between the PEQ and the upper receiver. Feel free to count the rail slots.

it is a M4A1..the front screw hole for the GRENADE LAUNCHER MOUNT is only 2 slots away from the spare screw hole...the front screw hole for the LOWER RAIL is 4 slots away on the MK18 rail.

Looking for a good trigger for my block II, something a little more crisp and lighter than the mil-spec triggers.  Anybody have a suggestions?  I'd like it to be fairly durable.

SSF is fielded by SOCOM so I would think an SSA would be a good choice.
