Wish I could get the paint to match. The m68 aimpoint was the hotness for big army around 2000 by 2012 only POG's had them and everyone else was had ACOGs or Eotechs kinda funny.

Then again, I kind of like the look of subtle color mismatches throughout rifles & their components. I’ve got an Aimpoint M68, but with a Wilcox rail ripper that I use on my Mk18 Mod 0. I want to move it to one of my M4s, but need a QRP mount. |

Tell me more… ETA: photos would be even better (Google hates me) View Quote As pictured above is my M4A1 with EoTech 552 as it had the NV feature. Its an older model that we got new in 04'. Seem to remember we had a choice to choose from EoTech 552, Aimpoint M68 or C-More. Thing I didn't like about the C-More was the lack of adjustment clicks as there was NONE. You had to guess when making adjustments zeroing. I tried as pictured the EoTech on my M4A1 in several positions and also inline with my ACOG TA01NSN. Ended up putting the EoTech on my M14 NM. Used a SA Scout mount to have it forward mounted. Since the M14 doesn't have room for a PEQ-2, I ran my PVS-7Ds on helmet and Eotech on NV mode. Eotech was mounted forward enough to work. I'll post a picture of the M14 w/Eotech later. ACOG would stay on my M4A1 and my M68 would go on my Bulgarian AK-47 CD |

I might be wrong but isn’t the PRI mount also legit? It’s a Wilcox clone basically and easily had from their website

I'm sure this has already been covered at some point, but what is the most correct forward sling mount for a true M4A1 Block I? Side mount or standard under FSB?

ive always regretted selling my 6921 block 1/1.5 set up and have been planning on doing another build ever since.
I just picked up a complete Colt 14.5 socom upper, but the more i look at it, the more i hate the factory extended flash hider. Anyone else feel the same way? Im tempted to just remove it and throw on a SF 4 prong. Here is what im thinking of doing, if i keep the extended FH, use my Colt waffle stock, m951 light, and look for an aimpoint in a wilcox mount (or qrp mount). If i swap to a 4 prong, use an extra gen 1 sopmod stock, su-233 light, and an fde exps3-0--then might as well through in a PRI gas buster, and CQD sling mounts. The other issue torn on is the lower itself. I have multiple LPK's, just dont have an extra lower--and colts are super hard to come by or are crazy expensive here in CA. Id probably be looking to get a cheap, little to no logo one locally. |

I was curious if an M4 converted to M4A1 and re stamped would still use the M4 pn or the M4A1 pn. I'm building a block 1 clone and my Colt lower is marked M4 Carbine. I was debating on the M4 or M4A1 pn for my uid tag. I was thinking about the different cage code and I wonder if it's because thats where it was converted from an M4 to M4A1 spec? |
