Rebarreled a Blk II with a Colt 14.5" SOCOM FSB barrel. Installed new gas rings and a Surefire FH556RC-1/2-28. Threw on a detachable carrying handle, headed to the range for a function check and it fired flawlessly in semi and auto. Didn't have a suppressor to check.

Question for those that are in the know. Would a M16A1 lower be correct for an early M4 SOPMOD? Not sure of the fielding dates for those on the "dark side", maybe they had M4A1s earlier or they had an authorized conversion to their M4s. I have an engraved M16A1 lower sitting around doing nothing productive.

^ rifle is gorgeous no doubt. Pictures suck balls (too little light, bro - even if you have weak lights, put two to three spotlights pointing to the rifle and try again; it's not a problem of camera, it's a problem of light exclusively)

Help me out here?
A friend of mine ended up with this VFG, supposedly early KAC made from Delrin. I've not seen one with a round base, and it is not marked as Knights. Knockoff? Or is there info that I don't know on these? Every one that I own or have owned has the flat sides of the base where it attatches to the RAS bottom rail. His came used, with free sand/dirt and velcro tab for tape switch.
