This RAS I ordered from KAC a little over a year now, It was one of the blemished rails and I have yet to find the defects.
Anyway, It came with three rail cover. In the photo they are the 10 rib covers on the top and sides by the delta ring. The 9 rib cover on the bottom front end and the two 5 rib panels on the forward sides are P&S covers. They look just like the KAC covers with the exception of the name on them. I found them on Numrich gun parts, much cheaper than KAC. But, of course this past weekend my son and I went to a gun show and one of the vendors was selling KAC rails (Vero beach) covers. I seriously need to get a camera. Anyway, I'm not sure I can still play in this thread. I've been brainstorming a freefloated A4gery since I was hauling a real A4 around Afghanistan. This is a mockup of the final product, I've got to finish drilling vent holes in the free float tube, but after that, It'll look pretty much like an A4. Still have a few tweaks to make. I've also got to pick up an older M600 to replace the M300 that's on there, now. Cosmetically, I'm going to print off the rack number of the rifle I had and slap on the stock and cut off a screw to epoxy in place of the screw for the clamp that is missing due to being on the free float tube. |

Santa was great to me this year. I got more than I deserve! About a month ago I took delivery of a new Colt AR-15A4 as a birthday/police academy graduation gift to myself. This morning there was a M16A4 transformation kit under the tree! My brother got me a Vickers sling, M16 butstock adapter, and rail mounted fixed loop from Blue Force Gear, a P&S M5 RAS from Brownells, and an OKC3S bayonet. My parents got me a NIB Surefire m952 with ARMS mount and some M855s. Definitely awesome!

I took my A4gery out and did some late evening/night shooting, until my batteries died, and I realized I forgot to bring extras.  Got the ACOG/RMR and irons sighted in. Good accuracy, but I think I need another buffer spring, though, it was having some trouble feeding when using the bolt release.

You guys might find this interesting. It isn't a true A4, but it's in the same vein, grabbed it off of a Facebook clone group with very little information as to the where/what/whys.

Not something you see every day. I have seen A2's with waffle stocks. I think CD posted those and said they have a new weight buffer for that called an H6 I think it was. I think they were A2's and not A4's.....
I don't know, but I rarely see an A2 with an ACOG on top. Man that must be one front heavy gun. If there is a light on the other side of those handgaurds, wow. |
