So basically I have this AR pistol. And I am looking for a method to mount a light. I have seen the part the that mounts to the front sight and gives you piece of Picatinny that a light can be mounted on, and I think that would be my second choice. Is what I am really looking is the part that mounts thru the holes on the hand guards that would give me a piece of Picatinny rail rail at either the 10 or 2 o’clock position to mount a light. Does anyone know what it would be called or where I can find one. Thanks.

I can’t seem to figure out how to order from the Impact Weapons web site. Do I just need to call them?

I don't think IWC is currently producing anything. Hopefully that changes in the future. But Midwest Industries makes a A2 mount that supposedly works nicely.

IWC is definitely the best option but it is currently unknown whether or not they will ever resume production. I have had good luck sourcing them in the EE but it’s pretty dead now since the admin revamped it.

@Sixgun357 I know this isn’t what you’re looking for, but it’s close as I can think of.

Yeah I thought of that, but like the look of the classic handguard.

Magpul short polymer rail with a lot of trimming and filing.

If you can find one of the IWC mounts that's ideal. I may have a sling mount that attaches to those holes somewhere. I also ran the elzetta 6oclock mount that clamps over the front sight base, I really liked that as it made it fully ambidextrous.
