I bought that LaRue barrel that’s on sale from OpticsPlanet. After I received it, I realized it’s an A3. So I guess I’m looking for an A3 upper receiver now. Does anybody know of any good deals on A3 receivers at the moment?

View Quote Nope, if you want one you'll definitely have to pay for it, I don't think you'll find any good deals unless you get lucky on EE. I know because I was searching since at least November and the only reliable source that I know, Delton, has been out of stock for months. I finally caved and bought a NOS A3 upper from Sherluk for $150 shipped, it came complete at least. Good quality milspec too but I could've got two Delton's for that price. Hardly any manufacturers these days make A3 uppers no more. I don't get it. They're hard to come by any more it seems. |

Posting a WTB ad in the EE is probably your best bet.

I think I’ll snatch that up. Thanks. |

Short gas block seating section? Rifle ramps. (It's just too damn easy to refer things as rifle/M4 ramps.) From the LT webpage: Attached File |

If some folks want to go in and buy several to get the shipping down, I'm open to being involved. |

I got the same shipping quote going across the country.

I know Adco can alter your barrel extension to work with a receiver with M4 cuts.
I bought a used barrel in the EE, didn't realize it had rifle feed ramps until I had already installed it in the upper (with M4 ramps). Didn't feel like taking it apart so I carefully opened up the barrel's feed ramps with a Dremel. Worked fine for me. |

It appears you may be correct. I no longer see it listed on their website. You can email them and see.
Or get the Dremel out. |

Careful Dremil works.
I also used JB Weld as a temporary fix. This actually held up very well. |

These don't have M4 feed ramps. (I asked the seller) But, they also don't have the recess cut for the auto sear either. (you can see both areas in the photos)

I googled... sometimes not ghey ETA: YHM fix your nomenclature. M4 Style feed ramps means not A3 by my estimation. |
