I'm thinking of building another Grendel, a lightweight hunter. I have a 14.5" AA bbl with a Barrett rail, and I'd like something lighter. I know I could shave some weight with the rail, and will, but I want to trim the bbl weight, too.

It shoots around 1.25-1.5" groups at a hundred, which is acceptable. I would pay more for more accuracy, but I don't want more weight. I'm leaning toward either a 16" incursion or 18" lite from AA. I would actually prefer a 16" lite, but I don't think they sell them anymore.

At any rate, do you have any suggestions? I don't mind waiting for a good one, and I know I should have done this 2 years ago.  I would consider going 18", but no longer, and no shorter than 16"

I also have a Faxon lightweight in 556 and love it, how do the match series gunner Grendels shoot?  It would save me roughly half a pound.

Thanks for the suggestion, I ended up buying one from Curt.  It will take me a month or more to get it and get it built, but I'm stoked!

I already have plenty of 4 or 5 different loads on hand.  I've had a Grendel for several years.

I'm sure it will shoot the one I have the least of the best.  I have some components for it, and I may try to load for it, but I'm not really a handloader.
