True, I'd say it's actually more like 15% on most scopes.  Contact the optic vendors over there and ask for pricing.

Looks like a good deal on an EOTech.  But what's an "English 7/64 rail?"  I understand Weaver and Picatinny rails, but that's new to me.  That being said, a sight that runs on common AA cells seems a good idea.

I think (heavy on the think part) that sticker means don't use a 2.5mm hex wrench.  English 7/64 is 2.78mm, and a 2.5mm wrench would be a snug enough fit to make a mess of either the wrench or the hex screw.

That makes sense. You can see in the pictures what appears to be a "normal" rail.  I have a buddy over for dinner.  He said the same thing.  I don't know much about the model 512, but it looks like a good EOTech.

This is a smoking deal!! Eotech 512 for $297 after rebate. Was a little leary since I'd never heard of the place but did a little research and they seemed legit.  I ordered one a couple weeks ago and it came last week. I figured they were old stock or something but the manuf. date is 10/13.

Let us know if you get the rebate.  My experience with mail in rebates has been ... Mixed.  I see several conditions to this one.  But that IS a smokin' deal!

So how how of a deal we're talking about then? I need a good optic that if possible won't be over $400 and would prefer a Vortex for 62 grain 5.56 mostly and the occasional 77 grain match rounds.

Yes, the 7/64 refers to the hex wrench to use. This fits on your standard picatinny rail. I just received mine today from that seller and I was shocked on the condition of the 512. It was better than the one pictured. Good buy to me.

I think you can qualify for the EOtech rebate too, correct?  For another $60 back?  That would make it $365 after rebate?

If you are looking for a PFI (Pride-Fowler) scope, send an email to [email protected] and ask for a quote.  It may take a week for them to get back to you.  If I waited a few more days, then I would have saved quite a bit off of what I already thought was a good price.

EOTECH HHS I - EXPS3-4 System
Not sure if related deal was posted, but lapolicegear.com  do a 15% off flash sale until 1/29/2014 midnight.
Combined with $60 mailing in rebate on EOTECH and free shipping, that makes good deals for example on EOTECH HHS I - EXPS3-4 System :
$1,088.99 - $60  - $163.35 (15%)  + free shipping  + taxes :(   ($69.42)  = $935.06

Obviously works on other EOTECH...
Hurry up.

I'm stupid. Link?
Link for the item is below, but I called them and asked to speak with a CS rep. I told the woman that I am a member of AR15.com and the Snipers Hide, and asked for the special discount code. (Wasn't sure if there was one but figured it couldn't hurt) List price before any codes is $1239.

They are running a $100 off promo right now, but I wanted to see if there was anything else available.

She said she would check and then she hit me with $865.37 as a special price. So I ordered with her over the phone.

Cheers,

Hindsight
