OK, and? I get that it is impressive he was able to make another FRT/SS/Active Reset design completely different than what anyone (including himself) has done before, but it's a two position, always on type system. It's a step backwards, very much back to being a range toy with only limited applications in an automatic rifle or possibly belt-fed role. I also don't see how this system lends itself to a three position mode down the line. It's neat and all, especially for $43, I just don't get why everyone is going all teary eyes over this. |

Maybe give the kid a minute to do his work. |

Plus no threat of stopping him over patent BS, and the current sales just gave him a million dollars for his lawsuit fight. His main market was always the two pos super safety, a market RB shut down with the lawsuits. His new super safety isn't a push button and uses a regular selector. it's cheaper and easy to produce. If his product works he just made entry level FRTs cheap, dirt cheap. |

But I would not be at all surprised if Hoffman adapted a safety lever to make it 3 position. Never bet against this guy. |

Yes, on first glance, it doesn't seem to lend itself to a 3 position model. I'm not a designer though, which is why I'm asking. I'm sure he could figure out a way to do it, but again, why is everybody acting like this is some wonderful gift from the gods when it is a major step backwards from what most folks already have? It only seems revolutionary if you assume the original super safety is going to end up being owned by RB, and this is the fallback measure. I thought the community had decided that RB was grasping at straws? And if you assume that the courts will corrupt justice as bad as they usually do, and award ownership of the design to Rare Breed, why the hell can't they do the same with this? Doesn't this still fall within the entire FRT concept which RB claims is theirs? If this is just "oh, neat" and only $43 so people can just buy them cheap and shove them in their PSA specials left and right, cool. More power to them. But if so, not something I'm interested in. Again, that's why I'm asking. |

I believe that is why the only FRT trigger I have had success with was the Partisan (now Triggered) Disrupter. However, this new Hoffman device may work better than others I have tried, and when I get my Trigger Kicker, I intend to try it out in a 9mm blowback. If I understand it correctly, timing should be more precise by this device. Of course, bolt bounce will still be critical in any blowback action. I guess we'll see... |

It's not as versatile as the ARC, Disruptor, FRT15L3/C3, etc, which I regard as the modern DIAS, but it's still a good option. Nothing meaningful costs just $43 in 2026. This is a no-brainer, especially when that $ goes to someone who is being legally attacked by a certain entity. Also, the geometry looks good for something I've been messing with for a while so maybe this will wind up being the hilariously cheap fix

| Hopeful, but curious how drop-in will this be. Lots of angles working on each other. |

Never had any interest in a lightning link, which would explain my lack of interest here. Originally Posted By jaqufrost: I think we'll see a three position version pretty soon. Wouldn't a three position, by necessity,be a lot more complex and thus more expensive than this cut bit of metal? That's where I'm coming from. And because the actual mechanism is completely separate from the selector, it likely will be more complicated than existing designs. Throwing money at him to support his legal battle is more than reasonable, but doesn't really make sense to me in regards to the excitement over the product itself. Again, that's why I was asking. To each their own. I think I'd rather buy a hat or sticker from him and let him over charge for it as a donation. |

On his website, he stated that he is working on a 3 position. For something as simple as the Kicker is, I will get 4 or 5 of them just to have. I have a Super Safety in my 9mm AR. Works great with the heavy Slash buffer. No need for a sliding weight buffer. I have 2 of the Az Regulator drop ins. One a 2 position and the other a 3 position. They work fantastic also. Really want to lay hands on this new design and check it out. Especially a 3 position. |
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

With all the bolt bounce and hammer follow issues with FRTs, it will probably stop dead anyway. |
| I've been trying to think through something like this in an M16A2 trigger with 1 regular disconnector and one of the trigger kickers. No 3 round cam, just a spacer.. Cant wrap my thoughts around how the selector would look/work but I think theres a way perhaps to get 3 pos with a dual disconnector like the A2 had..maybe. |

Originally Posted By Heartbreak3r: With all the bolt bounce and hammer follow issues with FRTs, it will probably stop dead anyway. I disagree. Most of the problems I'm seeing/hearing about are caused by simply not reading what is explicitly stated as required to make the device functional (H2 or H3 buffer in most circumstances.). You can't stop the voluntarily uninformed from causing problems with ANY type of product. Barring a minority of situations, most issues can be tuned out with correct parts selection or even just generically throwing an H3 buffer (with reciprocating tungsten weights for crying out loud) at the problem as long as you aren't using underpowered ammunition. Based on the fact that I can now hear full/faux auto out in the country almost every weekend, I'd say they generally work just fine. I have not yet been able to lay hands on the Trigger Kicker, so I have no idea how well that will work. That said, the guy has a solid track record so my bet is on him succeeding here. |

Truth be told, I'm mulling the idea of a micro SAW. 10" 9mm barrel, bipod, fed by 50 round Glock drums... you could get all the suppression you need for half the cost per round. |

Well, I got mine today, installed it, and hit the range. First magazine, BRRRT - 30 rounds, no problems! I fired a total of 300 rounds, all trouble free. I did start out with an H3 buffer, because I figured it would probably need it. Almost boringly reliable... Next, I plan to pull the Trigger Kicker out and check for any wear. Will report back. |
