I pulled it out of the lower, and checked for wear. There was a little burnishing of the finish, but nothing I would really call wear. I took some pictures, but I can't post them... Really, there is nothing but a little scuffing of the finish! BTW, installation took all of about 2 minutes. If it wasn't for having to use a dental pick to pull the hammer springs up out of the way (I didn't remove the hammer), it would have literally been half of that! I think the biggest drawback to this device is that it is only safe/reset mode. It would be nice to have this in a safe/semi/reset mode, but the Trigger Kicker is a real bargain for a lot of fun! (BTW I am in no way affiliated with Hoffman Tactical.) |

I could not find it but... I thought someone commented they were concerned about the forward and back motion of the TK could over time egg out the trigger pin hole on the lower. At this point only time will tell if that will happen. However, a non-rotating trigger & hammer pins with the two pins linked might be an option for those with that concern. On the other hand... the trigger pin may be threaded and hollow all the way through and deformation from impact of the TK could be possible. Just a thought! Attached File |
So... I find comfort in the fact that if Trump has to work so hard to go to Heaven, then there is a shit load of Democrats that have no f-cking chance to go anywhere but HELL. Sometimes it is entirely appropriate to kill a fly with a sledge-hammer.

I'm looking forward to hear about others experiences with it. Racking it by hand reveals very crisp and repeatable hammer drops. The hammer drops just as the bolt is closing; timed just like it needs to be. I thought perhaps I would feel a violent trigger slap when the hammer resets, but I did not notice anything unusual. To me, it felt just like other FRT, SS, ARC, cartridge type triggers etc. I am totally impressed, especially for just a simple shaped piece of metal! |

Pretty cool. I like this kid. But, it's not 3-pos...yet. If you don't care about having semi as a setting, then this is an effective, simple and cheap option. Nothing wrong with that. I just want my FRT's to be 3-pos...and I'm ok with that. I might just buy one anyway to support this guy. I really like that he's standing up to rare greed. |

I may buy some kickers just to support Hoffman, but they would probably just sit in a drawer unused. The real cost for all of these designs is the increased ammunition use. |

But I actually researched what it needed and ran the proper bolt and buffer from the get go. Has anyone tried the kicker in a 9mm AR? Really don't see why this would not work in one. What am I missing? |

Wonder if the back of the kicker that interfaces with the bolt, since it delays and determines when the trigger can be pulled again. could be trimmed to slow the rate of fire? No other reason than I think a slower (greasegun like) rate of fire would be cool to play with in an ar 5.56 or 9mm |

I found one in a box of old reloading equipment I was given recently. New in the package. May have to try it out. |
Ellen; Clark, I think it'd be best if everyone went home... before things get worse.
Clark; WORSE? How could things get any worse? Take a look around here, Ellen. We're at the threshold of hell.

Basically why I bought mine….too many Colts compared to other brands. Just need it to get here first! |

I'm pleased to report that I got another lower to put one of these in and it runs crazy good. PSA standard lower, swapped out to the forged trigger like he said, I dug up an H2 Spikes (filled with granules? I pulled it apart) and junk ammo, basic upper. Oh, and a giant 30 FA can. I'm thoroughly impressed. What a simple design. It's genius. It runs FAST. You don't have to get cute with the little flipper thing and other deigns with moving parts or modified parts, or grinding your upper to prevent it from locking the bolt up. There are no extra moving parts. This kid is a genius. He'll likely come out with a 3 or 4 position eventually. For now, I'm down for the 43$ a piece. |

What I like about this design (have not actually received mine yet) is it looks simple, with no small fragile parts. The original Hoffman Super Safety is rugged as well, but some of the follow up designs like the Arc Fire look somewhat more fragile by comparison. ( I have not heard of breakage with the Arc Fires though, but the Atrius certainly has had some broken levers. ) But these things? Talk about simple! There was a lot of speculation in GD talking about how they might be three position swappable with just additional parts being changed or added, so I am looking forward to see what develops there. Not the worst thing to have a dedicated IAR type weapon I suppose. I didn’t mind milling out the shelf on a RRA SBR lower for an Arc Fire, but I am less likely to want to do that to my Colt’s, except for several that already have engraving on them with my trust info anyhow (and I think one or more of those might be large pin versions too). Couple more days til mine get here… |

i saw 8pm - by 8:30 they were out of stock "more at 8am" 8am it said "well it might be later than 8am" hit f5 every few mins until 3:50pm kinda "later" than 8am by a bit showed "1" in stock - i think he limited it to 1 per order speed-ran the checkout, done by 3:52 pm out of stock again when i checked a bit later.. still - got a ship notice, so maybe one will appear :) |

The actual functioning of the ARC-Fire is a lot less fragile than you might think. I have never read of a single one actually breaking. |

There is no practical way to fire only one round unless you have a very quick release off the trigger. |

| Even a very quick pull yields 2 or 3. It's possible, but burst works just as well. My girl tried it and loved it. She did well with it. Very controllable with a can on it. I have one in 762x39 as well, a Rock River, and that's just as controllable. The difference with and without the can is dramatic. Rate of fire faster (a lot), and more controllable with the can. |
