Finally got a hold of a 9mm bolt/barrel set. 5" barrel. What handguard did you use. My Google is weak for 5" handguard. Not many results.

9" handguard... because that's what looks best with the silencer poking out of the end.  Pistol cans, especially rimfire, don't really get hot enough for the heat to be an issue when tucked under the handguards.

It's a 9mm build, always suppressed. I like access to the end of the barrel for cleaning. I also like a teflon' tape wrap around the barrel threads. So I'm thinking barrel recessed 1" or so maximum, probably less.

I have a 7 inch handguard for a 4.5 inch .22lr barrel with a suppressor.  You'll appreciate the extra real estate unless you are going for a micro-build.

Agree, don't just consider barrel length.  Consider having space for your hand, or any accessories.

I just got mine yesterday too…

I threw it on my Knights RAS rail which I think is either 7”or 9”.

I am thinking about getting an aero precision builders kit with a 9” rail because the Knights rail doesn’t have enough inner diameter to tuck the 9mm suppressor but it will for my 22lr suppressor.

3-Lug and an adapter for the can.  Best for 9mm

If you’re ever going to put a light/laser on it, the real estate is nice for gripping and switches.

CMMG makes an Mlok handguard for their 5” barrels. It’s decent.  I think it’s called a guard or mk3 handguard or something.

Thanks for the suggestions. Went with Aero Precision 4.8". Put everything together and had time for two 30rd mags this afternoon. 30 147gr subs and 30 115gr supers. Flawless. Really think I am going to like the RDB. It isn't like a pellet gun in comparison, but it is noticeably smoother than my blowback gun. Wish I could share a pic. Looks good with my can attached.

You're welcome. Glad it went together well. If you want to share a pic pretty easily, you can create an imgur account and share pics on there for free. Have fun!
