So after a few forum posts and lots of googling (I’m new to ARs) I finally narrowed my handguard search down to either a 15 inch SLR ion lite or a 15 inch BCM MCMR. So today I finally pulled the trigger on the SLR just for the confirmation email to tell me that it could take up to 4 months for me to receive my handguard. I’ve pretty much accepted that I’ll be waiting awhile for whichever I choose.
So my question to you is should I keep my order for the SLR or should I go with the MCMR? I’m not biased towards either one I just didn’t want to wait for the MCMR then I found out I’ll be waiting either way. So which one do you guys like more and why?
Thanks!

What AR do you have, specifically, which barrel
nut is on the rifle now? Does it have front sight post?

It’s a Sig m400 tread that has a proprietary barrel nut which I’ll be taking to a gunsmith to have removed. It does not have a front sight post.

Which one do you like???

What are you using the rifle for???

Weight is great consideration. The BCM weigh 9.2oz
if memory serves. The other set you mentioned doesn't
list rails weight in their description.

Something else to consider, make sure the rail will clear your
gas block.

I think you mentioned 15" rail??? 16" barrel???

I like both, they basically look the same to me lol.
I’m using it as a range rifle but also a SHTF rifle.
It clears the gas block
Yep, 15” rail on a 16” barrel

Is weight one of your considerations?

Using for HD tool as well?

Weight isn’t a huge issue although everyone likes a lightweight handguard.
Not sure what HD means though I’ll assume it means home defense, if that’s the case, no sir.

Not sure if you have fulfilled your desire for a handguard, but Joeboboutfitters has the Timbercreek ultra light enforcer 15inch for $149 and they ship fast and are great to deal with
