I have always exclusively used Lancers and pmags and just got the itch to pick up at least 10 grey aluminum straight 20 round mags.

My trouble is finding an array of choices to choose from. I found brownells magazines, and some black teflon coated Okay ones. I just think I'm looking in the wrong places.

Help me out on what you prefer and where good places are to get them?

Can't tell you much other than the Okay ones should be just fine. Okay has been a long time supplier of 30 round mags to the military, prior to the acceptance of the Pmag. I would think that the Brownells ones would be fine too. I get mine from a local gun show guy that still has used GI ones for $8.00 and I paint them with a thin coat of epoxy black spray paint.

I pick up pre-ban 20s every so often at the fun show to send to Massachusetts.

I have 10 NHMTG 20 round mags that work great but the problem is that out of the dozen rifles I have only 2 will allow them to drop free. Just a heads up, great mags otherwise......

I have bought from both of the above.

I have no experience with the Brownell's version.

Brownells tend to need a little break in, then they will be 100%.

Okay or NHM whatever is also Okay and are solid.  Have lots. Wish I had more

Edit to add I turned around and ordered some right after posting this, realizing I needed a few too. Order on 11th, tracking 40 minutes later, in my hand yesterday (through one of the worst USPS-killing blizzards in awhile). I don't know how the hell they did that but PA has it going on for shipping & CS.

Another +1 for the Okay straight 20's, they're great.

I have a lot of the Brownell's and they do great after you have used them a while, for what I do, they work fine.

Agree,

I also have NHMTG mags, not sure if they are still made, but they work great.

About 10 years ago I picked up a pile, about 30, used mags, all brands, Okay, Simmonds, Adventureline, Sanchez, etc....20 rounders, $3 each....clenaed and re-springed them, then sold, still kicking my self

Same here, both Brownells & Okay/Surefeed straight 20s run great and appear identical.

The only real difference I know of is that Brownells has both chrome silicon & stainless steel springs. I think Okay is CS.

I’d like to see Okay 20s in Black Teflon with the new texturing they’re using for the new 30s.

I have some Brownells and they are GTG.
What happened to 44MAG?

I looked up the Okays and they look nice. Are they pinned/rivited at the fold or welded like the Brownells.
