Should I get another ACOG for the MRE, or a Steiner P4Xi with P3TR reticle? Leaning towards ACOG because it plain works on how I had it set up.but Steiner has the poor man's Short Dot aesthetic going for it.

View Quote Its around a 2.0 height iirc. I like it super high, because i messed up my neck pretty bad a while back. I'd even like to add a 1/3rd spacer into the mix. Absolute cowitness for me is difficult especially for what i intend for this rifle. I cant focus on the target rather all my attention goes to all the crap in my sight picture. As for mounting it on the handguard, some people have experienced movement with it, tgis one's in very good shape so i doubt it would, but with that and absolute cowitness i made up my mind. I zeroed it today at 25m both irons and the red dot. Best i could do was 2 inch groups. Same ammo through my holland at 100 i did a 1.25 in group. Magnified optics are so much nicer lol for that anyways. I kinda wanna swap to an acog on this thing.... but that cuts into my aem5 fund |

Nice! Love the midlength casv. I kinda wish eod would have eventually adopted the midlength as sort of a block 2 version. I recently threw the magpul m93 back on my eod/casv build.
ETA- have you ever seen the casv delta ring made by DSArms? I’ve always wanted to check one out. It’s more square/octagonal to line up with the casv/ old magpul handguards. |

My only regret is not buying the EL version as well. Then I could have made an actual EOD clone. I’ve seen those before. Probably would look a lot better. If they make putting on or taking off the rail a little less of a pain in the ass I’ll buy one. |
