This is great. I was just thinking to myself what a NSW with a NX8 would look like.

A 15.1 NSW upper with the NX8 on top might be a good upper to slap on this every now and then.

Picked this up in the EE. Maybe a Holland/Mini Recce kind of thing. Always thought it was a cool piece.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I remember Augee building some kinda Delta clone-ish rifle with one of those tubes, a few years ago.

Thanks. I remember that thread and wish Augee hung around here more (though I know a man's gotta work). I ain't as GWOT hard like some of you dudes are, mine is more sprinkled in here and there but I've always liked the old school Armalite tubes. A can recessed underneath in some fashion is the goal but really I'm just going to have to play around and see what comes to me.

I really want to find another. Mine is the SR25 version but I've measured and the metal reinforcement for the front sling loop makes a recessed can impossible. Unless something is different with yours, max OD for a can is 1.32" and that's making contact with the bottom. That metal reinforcement takes away .27" of ID.

Working on something GWOTy.

I'm going to make a couple of dedicated M203 URGs with ~12.5" barrels and M4 RASs/RISs. I've got a bit of a dilemma.

If I cut the barrel at line 1, it would be aesthetic AF but I think I'll only be able to use an A2 flash suppressor on it.

If I cut the barrel at line 2, I may be able to use suppressors (it might hit the the locking latch).

If I cut the barrel at line 3, I should be able to use any suppressor but I think it would look kinda dumb.

What do you think? I want it to look good but I also think it would be nice to be able to accommodate a suppressor even if I'm really not planning on using one.

No, I cheated and used a faux dissy upper from PSA which had the FN CHF barrel on it.

Actually had to file down the FSB for clearance.

New glass, who dis? Wasn't crazy about it on the MRE so I threw it on here. Going to order a riser to see if that helps. Might just end up on my Block 1 if not.

There are ACOG risers out there.

If you want integrated BUIS...it's called the ECOS

I know the KRAM spacers exist, but I mean a one piece mount. I figure in a world with 1.54", 1.70", 1.93", 2.04" mounts, surely someone would have done that for the ACOG. I'm still working on getting an ECOS!

Found another SR25 tube! I'm checking with local shops to see if I can get it modified to fit on my Operation Gothic Serpent clone. Haven't heard anything back just yet, but in case they say no, who would y'all suggest reaching out to?

Goal (minus EoTech, keeping the Aimpoint 5000 on it)

@Outrider can you post pics of the original barrel nut and open receiver end? Any measurements would be appreciated also. This might just have to get fabbed by a machine shop if I can't find anyone who can rig it up.

Might have to dismantle mine and take it in for an exact copy. Trying to avoid that if I can.

He asked me to send the OG with the OGS upper to jog his memory and made sure I wasn't in a rush. I'm not, but the excitement and anticipation is going to kill me!
