I used to have a A2, then a collapsible and now a C1 stock with this BCM HF upper. This is honestly the one gun regardless of stock used on it I would not get rid of. Just cleaned up the lower and installed a ALG QMS. It’s a bit portly but it works. Need a Surefire scout and a smaller laser. |

18 inch faxon gunner, ALG 25 dollar handguard, DD 1.5 front sight, Ruger Birdcage, USMC Bayo, Chopped .625 Bushmaster gas block was 7 bucks, 25 dollar A1 type D stock, ALG Trigger, Geiselle Super 42, Cotton M1 Garand Sling, Krylon, Aim nickle Boron Bolt. This is my best shooting rifle by far and probably cheapest Thanks . I tried to follow the modern WWSD . Its the same weight as an M16A1 . Im thinking of getting a non forward assist and lighweight BCG but the rifle is reliable as is. I think 6.5 pound loaded and very very accurate to 300

Here's the new upper, still waiting on KE parts, particularly their safety. Using my highly scientific weight measuring method, aka standing on a scale with and without the rifle, the new upper on the old (completed) lower weighs 5.8 pounds with the DD sights and a sling. If there is, please direct me there. If there isn't, let's start one. This is the first rifle I've put together in that configuration. I tried a few new (to me) things, the most obvious being the mating of a 16 inch barreled upper with a fixed stock A2 lower. I'm lovin' it. First time I've used a RDS mounted any higher than a lower 1/3 co-witness. The slight increase in height is perfect for this rifle and helps alleviate the annoying A2 stock GONNNGGG!!! felt with every shot fired. And it is mounted to a bombproof fixed A2 sight/riser. First time I've ever rattle canned one of my rifles. I'm diggin' it. First time I have ever put FDE furniture on an ODG rifle. I've wanted to ever since I saw some old HK 416s issued that way. Looked a little weird to me at first, but it has definitely grown on me. I think I'll call the color scheme 416 camo First time I have ever mounted a light that wasn't originally made to be mounted on a weapon. (1,000 Lumen Surefire P3X Fury in a basic GG&G mount) It's a little long, but fits perfectly on this pig. Damn sure on the hefty side, but I think it's pretty groovy overall. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/317025/265D3387-8F52-4FC2-BB7C-A32D3F6E5A58_jpe-2311314.JPGhttps://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/317025/52AC2000-CD63-4E3D-B483-24ADE3393445_jpe-2311315.JPG View Quote @Vehemence |

I’m sure the BFG adapters work fine too, but I don’t own any. |

A quick and sloppy rattle can camo job would look great and IMO would be better than the self-adhesive wrap. |

I’ve certainly thought about that, but I’m a lean 6’ with long arms, so the A2 works fine for me. I don’t wear body armor when shooting my rifles with fixed stocks, so that’s a non-issue as well. |
