Sort of a 629 XM177E2. I like the flat slip rings and bayonet lugs.

Oddly enough, I had the A1 lower on hand with dimpled pins.

1/8 twist makes it a little bit more versatile with ammunition choices.

Thank you to John Thomas for drilling and pinning the front site base and for the pin & weld on the flash suppressor. The turn around time was nothing short of fantastic. Sent him a box of parts, he sent the barrel assembly ready to go same day. The work looks factory original, no exaggeration. Perfect.

Looks good. What buttstock is at the end? A regular N1?

It's an old aluminum CAR stock. The buffer tube is a 3 hole so you have that 'medium' length stock vs full extension or full collapse. The only marking is a faint B. The finish is tough as nails pebble texture. Impervious to oil. The pad is at least 30 years old! You can see I used a plastic zip tie to hold it on. It was originally on an Olympic Arms pre-ban 'stop sign' carbine. I'm searching for another aluminum CAR stock so that one can go back on the Oly.

Had it out for a quick site-in at 30yds. It's shooting better than expected. I need a good optic!

Yes, I'm already looking for the pencil 11.5"!

Need to work on some color matching.

The 20" is an old colt C MP C 1/12. I've used it at an Appleseed event but it was attached to an A2 lower. It came with the A1 flash hider but it could go with a late model/improved 3-prong

The 16" is a Brownells military pencil barrel 1/12

The 16" barrel assembly is a C MP 5.56 NATO 1:7 with a W stamp at the chamber taper. Still looking for the correct upper receiver.

Fun stuff!!
