Where is a good place to look for early Colt SP1’s
To add to my collection. 1964 is my favorite year to collect. But I like all years.  I already keep watch on GB
But I was curious if there is other sites or individual
For sale sites I should be looking at.
Thanks. Allan

Let all your local shops know you’re looking.  I scored a nice 1980 SP1 over the summer.

Other than GB or your local gun shops your best bet will either be the EE or Gunshows

Here is a listing I just found. You may want to contact them to see if it is still available.

I follow the classifieds on the CMP and M14 forums as well as EE.  There's a 1981 currently cross-posted (not the seller and no connection).

What does CMP stand for so I can look it up.  ?
Thanks. Allan

Probably a good idea to put a "WTB" ad on each and every forum you can.

I have a ‘82 SP1 like new but the 1972 SP1 at $1550 current bid makes me want to bid.  I was born in late 1972

I got one for a steal early last year - 84 vintage about new. I got it cheap because some dingus put a ding on the carry handle and it caused a crack by the rear sight on the carry handle ear. I found two weeks ago a flat mint 80's vintage SP1 upper from a guy I have dealt with before on another sight - $120 bucks delivered. Swapped it out and it's a killer minty SP1 with the original civilian cleaning kit in the buttstock.
   They are out there.

There is a beautiful 66 date SP1 on the falfiles.com marketplace now. It's $3500 , but it is rather nice.
