Does anyone know why faxon is using M18x1.5 tapered barrel threads on their 8.6 blackout barrels? Is this some ploy by Kevin "The Grifter" Brittingham to make people use his crappy suppressor mounts or something?

The thread pitch chosen for the 8.6BLK was part of the design request with Q. It was a compatible thread pitch with some of the original offerings of suppressors and muzzle devices available for the 8.6BLK." So just like I thought, proprietary bs from Brittingham just for the sake of making sure people buy muzzle devices from him.
