The tacked link to Maryland shooters group guide has been gone for a while. I have been unable to find a photo guide that was similar to the Maryland one, so I decided to make my own. Hopefully others will find this helpful.
Edit: I also figured some would like to know what is in this rifle, so I'm adding the specs. Tag. I printed out a good portion of the Maryland AR15 How-to's and put them in a notebook. It's an excellent resource. Too bad they shut the site down.  |

| After 3 1/2 years on this forum this post has given me the information & mostly the the "How To" in a series of very clear, easy to understand photos to disassemble clean and reassemble my bolt carrier group. This to me is the best thing since sliced bread. Now all I need is something this simple on lubing an AR. |

Kudos to beavo451 for taking the time to put it together, and for sharing it with everyone. Also, since you're a Team member you should be able to access THIS archived thread from several years ago in which bigbore demonstrates his simple lubing method. I thought it was very informative and quite helpful as well. |

| i like it. nice pics and good looking gun. might point out lube points and check wear here now that it is tacked. the problem is the only guys that will not read this are the ones that need to. thread delivers. |
...grease, 3-1 oil, motor oil, saliva, WD40, Urine, CLP, Slip 2000 and Vagisil will all keep the gun running. However, Urine smells, and some of the other stuff doesn't last long. -Pat_Rogers

As an added reference, the NRA has a field stripping article in the latest issue (November 2009) of American Rifleman. Maybe it will be a useful addition to beavo451's excellent work. If not, mods can delete this post.
