I intend to bring it to my office daily, so I don't want it to scream gun.

Been browsing options all day and sadly, tennis may get the nod. I do have a suitable guitar case, but bulky and would be considered odd if I drug a guitar everywhere.

I was also thinking about a square brief case. Storing it with just the front pin pulled. It would still be quick to deploy.

I'd look at the phitz instrument cases in Amazon.

Fat Boy Mandolin Gig Bag
26" and 10.5" wide. It should be perfect.

Nice yeah should do nicely.  It looks like it's got some good pocket storage too.

I just have the front pocket but I keep a couple mags, first aid stuff, a flashlight, batteries, knife, gloves and a balaclava in mine. Not a bad little package to get you out of an area when coupled with a small backpack. All the Antifa shit over past year got me thinking it's not a bad idea to be able to mask your identity in a hurry hence the balaclava.

You should look into a LAW folder, it'll open up your options quite a bit. Constantly bringing in a tennis case or an instrument case could still be brought up in conversation. People may be curious about you playing tennis or what instrument you play. Making your rifle as small as possible might allow for a regular small case like a laptop case. That won't stand out like other options.

I have a M1 carbine leaned up against my desk at work right now. Boss comes by and holds it, sets it back down and then leaves. (I do not work at a gun shop or LE)

I would go with a fabric brief case type set up. You could do the tennis bag gig for a while but I think folks would start to realize what it is after 2 weeks or so.

The above pic nails it.

I like it. Not my photo, but essentially the same gun. OAL is right at 24".

I am in a rural area, so I'm not too concerned with looking odd, locally. Does the LAW folder require SBR, or are pistol braces acceptable?
I've resolved to have a rifle..errr, capable pistol, with me all the time.

I am also hoping I can store it in the mandolin with a 20 rounder seated.

LAW folder just allows for a buffer tube to be screwed into it. So you can get a kak shockwave and a LAW folder to keep it as a pistol.

Do a Amazon search, Copper Basin backpack.  Made for the Ruger T/D 10/22 works great for AR Pistols and has decent storage and doesn't scream gun. I carry a 10 inch 300 aac pistol with a Law Tactical Folder,  Tailhook Mod 2. Discreet

Forgot about this thread, but the Fatboy Mandolin case is perfect for a sub 25" sbr or pistol.

The pockets accommodate 4 (30 round) & 1 (20 round).

It is not wide enough for a seated 20 rounder, but a 10 should work.

The gun doesn't move around and padding is decent.
