DPMS Rifle Pictures Thread (Page 12 of 20)
Page 23 ownage! My latest update. This started life out as a DPMS AP4 .308. Now it sports a Wilson match grade 1-10 by White Oak Armament. It has an Obermeyer chamber. The lower has a Timney trigger and the muzzle brake is a JP Bennie Cooley brake. I picked up a Bushnell 4200 w/side focus for it. It is a lot of scope for the money.

When do I get to shoot it? DBAR Anytime. BTW, forgot to add that this is a mid length gas system. I have a JP adjustable gas block. I can get to the adjustment screw throught the vent just forward of the Trijicon red dot. Makes for a soft shooting .308. It's a little loud  but that comes with the brake.

Just picked up an AP4 from my local fun shop, slightly used, but excelent condition, not shot much. Spent 1200 total on it including the Mark AR optic. Look forward to shooting it this week.

It finally arrived My Dpms AP4 7.62
I installed the houge grip and will be ordering the buffer tube,spring and buffer for the magpul CTR I just picked up. Leupold 6x18 40 Mark AR on a LT-104, I have the 7.62 target knobs on order. . If the weather holds out I might be able to get her out this weekend.
ETA is that free swag offer from DPMS still good ?

I am not a photographer as you can tell. But here is my last build before I ship out. My buddy TODD, owner of CUSTOMIZED CREATIONZ did all the Cerakote and engraving work. He does great work, it is OD Green but in the pictures it looks more like FDE, kinda sucks. Be sure to check him out, he is very well known. Build: DPMS AP4 1-9 twist 6 pos. stock JP single stage trigger @ 4lbs. (work done by me) BCM mod 3 charger handle Troy low pro gas block Troy BattleRail MRF-C 7" Troy BattleSight Set HK style Ergo Sure Grip OD Magpul Enhanced trigger guard MI front and rear sling mounts ACOG TA11B Trijicon KillFlash ARD CAA saddle (which does not match OD, looks more like Foliage, although my CAA grip I had did match OD, unless the ass I bought it from on ebay screwed up) Gear Sector single point and double point slings Sure Fire M951 Kit 02 Magpul OD ladder rail covers I think that's it, its all brand new. The muzzle break reduces recoil dramatically. It feels like I am shooting my AR15. It allows me reacquire the target more quickly but does require "spongies" in addition to my earmuffs at the range. Is it worth it? I think so. If all hell broke loose and I had to use it without ear protection however, probably not. But for shooting jackrabbits at the farm in eastern Colorado at 200 yards, yeah, its worth it! As far as the shottie, it's a slightly modified Benelli M4 with a GG&G extended charging handle and a Carrier Comp full length titanium magazine tube. Kip Carrier does fantastic work. I would highly recommend any product manufactured by him. |
