| The bottom one is their "old" underwater round. The rifle that fires it has a crazy long magazine that stacks that crazy harpoon round. I believe the effective range on dry land is about 25 yards...about the same as under water... But I'm too lazy to research it and post exact figures. It's been used for decades, including a pistol version that is a 4-shot. |

Super cool stuff. Anyone know anything about the "Blitz Action Trama" rounds? I picked up some forever ago, and going through my crap one day, and ran into the 1 round I have in .357 mag. I can't remember the story on that round. If I'm not mistaken the BAT round was designed after the 72 Olympics ... |

I read a book a decade or so ago that had some 1st hand observations of its terminal effects, the 9mm was apparently quite devastating with the sort of results you normally expect from 125gr 357 magnum. One of the rounds had penetrated the abdomen and hit the spine and splintered it into toothpick-sized splinters. All those police trade-in P225's that came in a decade or so ago lived on BAT ammo. |

The US military seems more practical and less "adventurous" in their design and procurement. But when you combine the US civilian market innovation with the military, we excel. |
