Intendend to be shot at hard objects to release the CS compound inside the bullet cavity, not at people. Its a 2 piece construction with a lead filled copper jacketed lower half and a CS filled brass tip that has gray paint on it. Only have found examples from 4/61 or 5/61, on stripper clips of 5 and box of 20. Theres also a German 8mm teargas round in exsistance.    7.62x51 M62 brown tip, green tracer headstamp LC/91 These were used in Iraq to confuse the enemy, so that they would think it wasn't the Americans shooting at them.    These are just a few of the 7.62x54r. Czech Incendiary, blue tip, 21/52, commerical? (have box labeled 7,62 Tz) Czech Tracer, green tip, BXN/55 Russian AP Incendiary B32, black over red tip, 60/86 Commercial Spotter/ explosive, lime green tip, BXN/87     XM276 dim tracers from left to right; Purple tip LC/97 type 6, M276 Green over white tip LC/93 type 5, gliding metal bullet Green over pink tip LC/69 type 3, traces to 930 yds Dim tracers trace dim from the muzzle and turns brighter at a distance. They use a compostion R-440 trace mix which contains barium and strontium peroxide, calcuim resnate, and magnesium carbonate.  M198 7.62x51 Duplex green tip, turned steel projectiles. Front bullet weighs 84 grs and has a 2" accuracy at 100 yds. Traveling at 2750 fps at 78 feet. Back bullet weighs 85 grs and will have a 5-10" dispersion at 100 yds. Traveling at 2200 fps at 78 feet. MK 262 MOD 1 was developed out of 27 different commercial match projectiles in 1999, and then narrowed down to three, with the Sierra 77gr Match King being chosen for the availability. The MK 262 MOD 0 has no cannalure. The MK 262 MOD 1 or the "Navy long range heavy ball" weighs 77 gr, made from either Sierra Match King or Nosler Custom Comptition (J4 OTM) bullets. Has a small hole at tip, with a cannalure, and is only mfg. at Black Hills. It is considered to be very accurate and carries well over long distances, but gives poor performance on intermediate barriers. Too small amount of explosive to fill up what limited space available in the projectile head. This was sold on the internet as ".30 cal Real Raufoss Bullets". I wasn't disappointed to see that it was a...... Type ZR explosive incendiary bullet made by either Soviet or Chinese, in 7.62x54r. It has an internal striking mechanism that dentonates an explosive capsule of Tetryl, and in turn, scatters the incendiary composition held in the nose portion of the envelope. Still in use today as a "Spotter" round, it should have a red tip. This was turned down, then repainted green over white, like a real MK211 .50 BMG RAUFOSS. Thanks TaylorWSO for all the effort, must took a long time. When I post it usally takes an hour, so to pile them up into a group is impressive. There has never been any kind of block or restrictive measures on any of my photos. Just post ammo that was cut by me, or else would tell that it wasn't mine, so I do own the rights to show on mine. They all come thru photobucket, that might have something with the big X's. Only seen one turn up without my permission, a M855 misrepresented as a M995 on GB. Have been contacted at times and a few of my photos have made it into books or CD's. Most of my orginal posting go into the International Ammunition Assc (IAA) first, as to find out the real information about these rounds. They are really good poeple over there that have helped/ taught me much, if not all, of my ammo knowledge.
Believe that the ammo gods has heard everyone! Don't know if its my place to say or not, but AR15.com has just recently contacted, and they want to do something with the cutaways. Had seen some earlier examples of what it will look like on the web page and it was awesome! (Made me sound smart). That was last week, and should be up soon when they get all the bugs solved. Apperciate all the postive comments and attention. Still cutting almost everyday, with a M939 9mm pratice tracer for the AT4 rocket launcher being the last one. wolfgang |

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get them all marked so he gets credit for them at least. I saved a couple of them already.

I'm about a third of the way through. The page will have a bookmarks to allow you to jump down to the ammo you're interested in directly. I've added the copyright notice to the pics. Wish I could share the temp page, but I'm having a hard time logging into the server to upload the files. Stay tuned... |
